Anyone "gel" their flashes?

I've bought a sheet of Tungsten gel for my 420EX and 550EX and it works great for balancing with ambient tungsten light. Trouble is...I don't have a good way of attaching it to the flash heads.
I'm also looking at getting one of those colour filter sets (red, green, blue, etc.) like this one from Nikon: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home ;jsessionid=AaqVsL2e6c!1556872625?ci=1&sb=ps&pn=1&sq=desc&InitialSearch=yes&O=SearchBar&A=search&Q= &shs=nikon+sj-1&image.x=0&image.y=0 It looks like those filters have tabs at the back which I assume fit into a slot on the Nikon flash units. Is there a way we could use these on our Canon flashes, or any other gel filters, without the use of tape or elastics? How do you attach the gels to your speedlight heads?
Thanks,
Michael
