I've got a 8700 - is the price difference worth it?

Ostensibly the higher the mAH (Milliamp Hours) value, the more charge the battery can hold and the longer you can keep the camera running on a single charge.

In practice raising the mAH value usually requires some compromise in the materials used in the battery and it's possible that a battery with a higher mAH value may not last as long as a lower mAH battery before it needs to be replaced.
