Gmini 120 . . . A Review
Mar 6, 2004

Just finished a battery draining CF download test on my week old Gmini 120. Talk about boring!!!

Overall I'm impressed, some quirks to be sure, but nice. I didn't evaluate the MP3 only the PSD functions. My Pros and Cons:

Battery Life (I got 28 - 256 CF's)
Feel of keys
Feature set
Tech Support (quick to answer phone)
If you insert CF before turning on, automatically goes to copy window
Light as a feather.
Adjustable contrast on LCD.

Why are the on and off buttons cut in half?
You have to hold the on and off buttons for several seconds to activate.
Why are the CF cards and USB cable inserted upside down?

Won't read Simpletech CF
Tech Support (never got reply to email, 3 phone calls to fix problem)

Battery Meter ( 2/3's full after 1st download, 1/3 full before 14th, empty at 17th)

Make no mistake, this is a computer, not a copy box. Anything that can take analog audio and convert it to MP3 on the fly is a computer. Alas a computer w/o a keyboard.

Now for a field test.
