How is 8x10 possible with 10d?
Feb 14, 2004

Am I missing something here? My image size coming in from my 10D is 2048x3072 pixels, 11.378 x 17.067 inches, resolution 180. I convert that in Photoshop to 2000 x 3000 pixels, 6.667 x 10 inches and resolution 300 constraining the proportions and without resampling. This is not an 8x10. So what is getting it to 8x10? Mind you I have a full frame picture and I don’t want the head or feet cut off.

I’m ticked because my online print lab just set me 8x10’s with part of the head and feet cut off. They are telling me that I have to shoot to allow room around the subject for this. What I submit to them are cropped 2000x3000, 6.667x10 inches, resolution 300 images as requested. From this wallets, 4x6, 5x7, etc. prints are to be made. I can come up with an 8x12 image without loss of head or feet but not an 8x10. It has something to do with the 2:3 aspect ratio of the camera. But 8x10’s are being made out there so how is it being done?

Please educate me!!
