I think the plastic body is fine as well. I tote a 70-200 IS lens which weighs about 5x what the body weighs and, although it 'worries' me that the body isn't strong enough for this, experience says otherwise. To me, the image quality of the Dreb is essentially that of the 10D but at a much lower cost. If the plastic body allows for a lower cost, I hope they keep it. You can always pay the extra an get a 10D. Me, I want to get a separate body for each lens (well, two lenses), so cost is more important than strength; dealing with dust inside the body is a headache. The next model they come out with will be my next "lens back". I hope its 6-9 months away.
