Digital Rebel Surviving Iraq

Well, I just found out I'm going back to Iraq for a bit. I spent about 5 months there earlier this year. I'm thinking of taking my three-week old DReb with me but I'm a little worried about it surviving the conditions over there. The first time around I took a tiny Olympus 35mm point and shoot that actually took pretty good pictures. But this time around, I'd love to go digital. I'm mostly concerned with durability and heat issues. Maybe I should just a get one of those new Leica Compact M cameras. Anyone have any thoughts on the the survivabilty of our fav new DSLR in a war zone?
