Specular Highlights and Flash

Warm rooms + sweaty faces + flash = large blotches of reflected flash on cheeks, foreheads, and noses. The centers are often specular or nearly so, the edges less so. I'm sure we've all facted this problem. Any suggestions for photoshop? I will greatly appreciate a cure.
