Darrell thanks for the advice. I bought the 37mm lens before I bought the camera as I was intending to use if with a camcorder. However I no longer have the camcorder and hoped that it would work with the camera.....time will tell

I am in the uk and have an olympus E100-RS which has a 49mm lens
thread. I also have a wideangle lens from titanium optics which has
a 37mm thread and try as I might I cannot get a step down ring from
49mm to 37mm. I can get two step down rings 49mm-46mm and 46mm to
37mm but have been told that this will result in serious vignetting.

Can anyone tell me if there is a solution to this problem that
won't result in vignetting ?

I tried a 37mm thread Kenko telephoto with my C2100 (same lens)
and could not eliminate vignetting. I concluded that 37mm was just
too small a diameter for the camera. You can use the 43mm Tiffen
wideangle lens with no vignetting if you use the ultra-thin Tiffen
49-43mm step-down ring. That combination works great on the
C2100, and E100 I presume. I think 43mm is about the smallest
that will work well with your camera.
