On the two HP Zs that I have I only use the original HP Vivera pigment ink, some from larger carts as used on the Z6200 etc. The best ink around on longevity and printer behaviour in my opinion, I am not going to compromise on that. The small PCB boards that intercept the chip signals were only intended to get rid of all the warnings about expired/empty carts etc. That was no success so I use the carts as described in the other message and still get the warnings. I can live with that.

I do not recommend the use of third party inks, done that years ago on Epson 9000s and a 10000CF when Epson inks were not as good as third parties could offer then (pigment with a good gamut).
