Re: Sony rumored prepping fixed-lens, APS-C sized compact camera

I just posted this to a friend, a fellow NEX-7 owner:

"The LX100 is $900 US. The X100T is $1300.

Sony RX1000 (what I'm naming it) would be in between. Let's say $1000.
It will have lots of features and be beautiful. It will have a small fixed high quality Zeiss-branded lens of the size of an E1650 when compressed, and a range of 16-50mm (same as 24-75mm in 35mm equivalent terms.)

It will be much smaller than the X100T, say about the size of a NEX5.

I am convinced that such a lens was ready to put on the market by Sony, 2 years ago but there was a shakeup and a lot of plans were cancelled. Including the NEX-7 replacement."

Am I dreaming or will they build this?
