K-5IIs underexposure
Sep 1, 2014

I wanted to see if others have experienced similar exposure issues with the K-5IIs,

Under "normal"usage (aperture priority mode), the camera exposes photos reasonably well, although tending to underexpose a little. When I add a filter element to a lens (polarizer, ND 0.9 to 3, NIR), the image is demonstrably underexposed - perhaps to the exposure settings appropriate without the filter. My "fix" is to manually expose by trial and error. The only rationale for underexposure in automatic exposure mode I can come up with is light leakage. I haven't tried yet, but I'm not sure shooting under a towel is a better fix.

Any similar experiences?
