Question for ZS40 owners
Sep 1, 2014

Hi Folks,

I just watched a You Tube by Graham Houghton where he compared the ZS20, ZS40 and FZ200. It was pretty interesting but, to make the tests meaningful, I think he said he zeroed out all of his FZ200 settings since the ZS40 had no provision for adjusting sharpness, saturation, etc. in camera.

Is this true? That you just take what it gives you unless you want to post process? I have my FZ200 and FZ1000 set to turn out JPEGs that I like, SOOC seldom needed in post processing to get what I want. I'm not a pixel peeper but I've found that I like more saturation and contrast than most default settings have. I guess I just assumed that the ZS40 had the same adjustments.

I note that ZS40 has RAW conversion. Wondering if that is in camera?

Thanks for any comments. I like the ZS40 and am planning to get one.
