Backyard birds (70-300 CX)
Sep 1, 2014

I still enjoy using my 70-300mm CX lens, and I’ve not missed my heavy support gear one moment, since it’s so easy to handhold at 300mm.

Here are some recent bird photos from my backyard. Even though the House Sparrow is one of the most common birds, it is not common any more here where I live in the south of Denmark. The Three Sparrow has taken over this role now. But lately a little House Sparrow family has visited my backyard, and I think they look sweet, specially the female and juvenile birds.

As usual the originals are NEFs converted with Nikon Capture NX2 with my usual editing steps and resized to 1400x933 pixels for my web gallery. The original EXIF data are embedded in the pictures, and please click the links for the best quality JPGs. Crops are specified for each photo.
