Canon 6d, the 3 things it needs in my opinion
Aug 30, 2014

After having played with a Nikon 610, which I loved, I chose a Canon 6d, for its superior high iso performance and better kit lens (also used to the system, having owned only Canon gear before it).

To me, the 6d is a very capable, but somewhat boring camera that is not half as fun to shoot with as the Nikon D610, but overall a great tool to get great images. High ISO performance leaves little to be desired and overall image quality is excellent. But what I want to see in the next version, for a similar price is:

- onboard flash (not the way of Canon FF cameras so probably will not happen)

- dual pixel technology, for fast autofocus in live view and video

- less shadow noise (in my experience an issue at ISO 400 and above).

I will be at Photokina so will ask the Canon guys if such a body could be on the horizon!! Dual pixel technology on the 70D is marvelous, but the IQ of the camera undermines it, so definitely should be on a full frame camera as well.
