Nikon V1 single point continuous focus tracking
2 months ago

Hi. I wonder if someone could help me please. I've got the Nikon V1. I want to track a subject using single point and continuous focus. The only problem is that the focus box seems to disappear after a short while. It seems like the camera continues to focus when the shutter is half pressed but there is no way of knowing what focus point the camera is using. Does it use the same focus point (i.e the one that disappears) or does it automatically select a different focus point without letting you know? Can anyone shed any light on this please?

I have read the manual, I've got Thom Hogan's ebook and unless I am missing something, I can't find any explanation. I know that you can use subject tracking as an alternative but my curious mind wants to know whether there is another way and what's going on!

Thanks in advance.
