Dull images in the jungle shade

Today I shot some images in the moderately dense forest and the colors and the shades were so dull and blown out. Especially the stones of a dried water channel showed this. When I say blown out it doesnt mean that I have lost details in there but it sort of dont feel right.  The exposure was oke I think, if you look at the histogram.

What would you suggest for this situation, a filter perhaps or change in composition. Here are some figures attached and somehow I never get good captures in the shady forest, your experiences and suggestions ?

The files are direct converts from RAW withour any editing.
