Want a bigger sensor? Try the Brenizer method

I just read about this method the other day. I'm not confident enough to use it in practice yet, but I think it gives a really cool look. It's kinda the look of a medium format in a way.

You can get a really wide shot, but a shallow depth of field.

I shot the below with my X-T1 and 56mm 1.2. Check my flickr for full size/the detail!

This involves setting a focus point manually. Locking exposure/focus and white balance. Then taking a series of shots and stitching them together.

Be careful to expose for your highlights! I blew mine in one of the shots.
