Sensor dust exposed Sony's secret with SELP1650
1

At least I was not aware of that. We all know that Sony's 16-50 lens has been corrected on camera. AFAIK, the RAW file is uncorrected. But I found out this is not the case.

Here are 3 files developed from RAW, resized to half resolution. Please pay attention to the sensor dust on the top left corner.

The dust is hardly visible because it is near the top edge. Apologize for the cloud, it is hard to find a spot with no cloud this morning.

Here, you see the same dust at 50mm.

Taken with a legacy lens.

Turns out the sensor dust is at 3 different locations! All pictures have the same resolution. So it means that Sony crops and scales the RAW image when used with SELP1650. I wonder if Sony does that with other lens?
