50/1.4 Art bokeh samples in context

Before more samples and reasonable comparisons are available here are some 50A and 50/1.2L samples for those taking extra special interest in bokeh or are just curious how the 50A copes in this regard. The 50L is the Canon’s best 50mil 'bokeh lens' and doesn’t come cheap. Regarding the bokeh the lens is talked about in superlatives as you can find easily all over the web.

The Sigma is not the 58G, these are quite different lenses that were designed to excel in different areas differently. Even the FL is quite different. The 50A is just pretty good with regard to bokeh and compares extremely well to any 50-60mm lens to say at least. More evidence for it will come in time I am sure. Very few lenses have its capability of maintaining the bokeh quality towards the periphery of the frame, I reckon none does it as well (again, excepting in-its-own-class 58G from this).
