Video out of EOS-1Ds3 ?

I take stills but occasionally wished I could record some video footage from the 1Ds3 as well. There was no way, but I recently noticed the Atomos Ninja Video Recorder, which records from HDMI output. There is no HDMI on the 1Ds3, but I noticed a Video-out Jack. Ok, Live View is limited to 1 mn. or so, but that would be enough for what I want to do. Is it worth investigating the possibility further? Questions are whether the Video out is high res, if conversion to HDMI can be easily achieved via some sort of unpowered adapter, and above all, if there is no risk of frying or degrading the sensor quality by using Live View intensively. Maybe some have thought it through before?
