I think, in 2 decades, Smartphones will do 80 pct of "private photo", the children of FZ1000/RX10 will do another 15 pct, and last 5 pct will be for ultra serious amateurs using DSLR with primes as primes will remain to be "the ultimate specialised lens for the ultimate house" ,...

There will be no reasons to use DSLR's with normal zoom-lenses any longer, becourse the upcomming bridge-cameras will be on-par, or better, anyway,.. (we are almost there already)

So I guess primes will survive at a humble level, but the DSLR-market generally be very small
