One rose and two macro lenses

It was cloudy and windy outside today in the morning. So, instead of my common birdding I went for this lovely flower.

I've been obsessed with two color roses for a while. A few years ago, thinking of possible B&W image, I took a few quick and dirty handheld shots of similar rose with K-5 and Tamron 28-75/2.8. To my surprise I won not one but two 1st places in DPR Rose challenges with antique and B&W PP versions.

Regardless almost 100F around I tried to shoot more carefully today.

All shots were taken at ISO 100 outside, using light cube, tripod, remote and occasionally aluminum foil mirror.

The Rose itself: Lester A. Dine 105/2.8 Macro, manual focus.

K-3 and Sigma 180/3.5 EX DG Macro, manual focus.
