Not Sure Why No Ultra Wide (non-Fisheye) Prime
1

The Panasonic 7-14mm wide angle lens is not a fisheye and costs $1,000, still. Wondering why there is no, say, 9mm prime, other than a fisheye, of roughly similar quality that could cost something less than $1,000. (Lens quality is, I would imagine, simpler in a prime than a zoom.) Perhaps the answer is that a lens that wide, and small enough for a m4/3 camera, for 4/3 sensor is a fisheye and the only issue is lens correction. That is, perhaps the answer is that the Olympus 9mm fisheye is just what I'm looking for, but, if so, please advise on how to counter the images' distortion without loosing significant quality.
