Question about setting file format and resolution on a S110/S120
1 month ago

Apologies for posting what should be a pretty easy to figure out question here, but I'm a bit stuck.  When setting the file type/resolution for images in PASM modes, I select RAW 4000X3000 from the menu. But the files, when downloaded to PC, wind up being 1600X1200.  If I change the setting to RAW + JPEG, the jpg file is 4000X3000, but the RAW is again, 1600X1200.  I've tried this on both a S110 and a S120, I've searched everywhere I can think of on the internet and went so far as to call Canon support, which offered little more than, "maybe you should send your camera in".  It's not a critical issue since it's just a little P&S camera my wife carries in her purse, but I'd really like to know how to get a full-sized RAW image out of the camera.
