MFT Polarizer Rules - Linear or Circular ?

I remember back in the day, you had to use a CP (Circular Polarizer) on Nikon SLRs to maintain compatibility with their Autofocus.  The LP filters were common during the manual focus, film heyday.    Both types are still sold.  Which on for Digital MFT lenses?   What about if I am using Four Thirds lenses with adapter on OMD EM-1?

Last but not least, who has the Polarizer filters with the LEAST attentuation?  Are there any that only take out one half stop?    Seems like the ones I have are one to two stops.
