Canon 70D got really hot near the right hand grip... need advice.

Something happened today that never happened during my ownership of the 60D, so I freaked out. I had left the Canon 70D on with the Pancake 40mm in Video mode ready to shoot a video. I left for a moment, when I came back, it was really warm, especially near the right grip. I immediately popped out the 3rd party battery, which was made by WATSON. It felt a little warm, nothing weird. The Camera itself was the thing that was really warm.

Any thoughts? Maybe the 40m was constantly trying to focus when I wasn't in the room or something? Is it unusual for SLRs to get hot? I never experienced the 60D warming up like that, so this is something new to me.

I'm charging my Canon battery now and I'm not going to touch the Watson until I test it out again with the Canon battery.

Canon EOS 70D
