Disaster -- broke my 5D Mark II
Aug 10, 2014

My camera was on a tripod and the tripod tipped over. The camera body (my 5D Mark II) hit a very hard surface and it cracked the body (and probably some other internals). I sent the body off to Canon for repair and they returned it to me saying the damage was too extensive for them to be able to repair the body. I have a collection of four L-series lenses.

I could afford to upgrade to a Mark III, but I wasn't planning on spending $3,400 on a camera body right now.

What would you do -- consider moving a mirrorless camera, ebay all my lenses? Or stick with SLR???

Thanks so much for your constructive suggestions.
