Clarification on Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VRii WB/color shift with aperture
7 months ago

I got the new Nikon 70-200 F2.8 VRii lens. Going from F2.8 to 4 I see shift in colors, is this normal. Vignetting is probably the cause, but need to know if this true on every lens of this kind. I have attached photos taken at 70, 135 and 200mm in Aperture priority, WB set to sunlight, fixed ISO. I have taken photos at 2.8 and then 4 at these focal lengths. I see 2.8 images are darker.

I was doing this test to see I had hotspot issue, but was surprised to see this much of color shift. Let me know if this is normal.

Thanks
