ISO1600 Q JPEG OOC; SPP 0 NR; and SPP 0 NR with Neat
4 months ago

Moderate/somewhat low light -  indoors and lit.  Hand-held so sharpness may or may not be at a peak.  F7.1 and 1/320th

I tried the following NR:  SPP 0,2,3,4,  SPP0 with  Neat Auto; SPP0 with NIK Define Auto.  Neat was the best.  On the downside with this particular show which has a lot of glossy and reflective surfaces,  as soon as I took it through SPP, even with NR at 0, I started to see what looked like hot pixels (or specular highlights or some result of noise).   These were not visible with the JPEG OOC (below).

I think that the Q did a good rendition of this moderately-lit indoor shot.  I know that in very low light, it does not seem to fare well.  However I am satisfied to be able to use 800 or 600 in situations like this and the ISO800 one which had similar light. I may get a chance to compare it against the M as I have to return to the scene of the crime today.

JPEG OOC

SPP 0 NR

SPP 0 NR and NEAT N/R Auto
