The Df's results are interesting...
In reply to jim stirling, Aug 9, 2014

There is obviously something else at play besides just MP because, the EVERY Df zoom lens, even if it is just a mid-range Tamron, shows better resolution than the Oly 12-40mm. I don't buy it. My brother owns the APS-C version of that Tamron and while it is good, it is no sharper than the APS-C Sigma 17-50 I own for my D7000 I use at work, which is to say, is not sharper than the Oly 12-40mm.

Hell, according to DxO, That same mid-range Tamron 24-70mm resolves the same sharpness on the Df as the Nocticron on an EM-10. Color me skeptical with some of those results, there is no way Tamron found some magic to make their lens sharper than the Noct. The Df must have some super pixels.
