Demise of Panasonic (and Others)?

Have read repeatedly that in the near future only Canon, Nikon, and Sony will survive as (non-phone) camera manufacturers.  Yet Panasonic cameras keep selling out on Amazon and are back-ordered at B&H.  Could be a symptom of insufficient production capacity, itself a sign of impending failure, but more naturally suggests success.  Also, the infinite variation in models does not seem like a sign of failure.  (Kodak reduced models before exiting, as it seems Casio has as well.) Though I don'f follow as closely, Olympus seems much the same as Panasonic.

Though I have owned almost a dozen Lumix cameras, and few others, I won't be distressed if Panasonic leaves the industry (so long as one of the survivors makes comparable cameras, including m4/3 bodies); the badge on the front of the camera matters little to me (which is why I've owned no Leicas). Just curious. Wonder what others think.
