I just got my Canon Powershot Elph 340HS and the hardest thing was getting the wrist cord on. That's why I had to look online.... I am over the 50 mark and an avid rock climber with now clumsy arthritic looking hands. SO my tip for getting that little cord under the tiny mount located on the side of the camera is to use something sharp and pointy like a toothpick or a kebab stick (something that won't scratch the camera) to push the loop through and then pull it out. There was no way that my fat fingers were going to push that floppy cord under the mount, especially adding in my crappy close-up vision.
