I never bothered with trying any video using a Pentax DSLR until a few weeks ago.  Prior to that I'd always used my Panasonic FZ200.  However, having shot a couple of clips of a Kingfisher perched and a juvenile Magpie, I have to say I was mightily impressed.  I used the K3 with DA*300mm and a TC for reach.  Next time I'll maybe set it up with the external mic and try something a bit more taxing.

Ok, I admit to not being a videographer and I am baffled by all the fast changing video tech and terminology, but to my eye it looked great and I was very pleased with it.  All we need next is good autofocus in video and we'll be getting closer to some other models - I understand the Canon 70D is very good for video!
