Re: 600D Flash Question

2, Is it possible to get the 430EXII to fire off-camera without the on-camera flash actually firing? The manual says it can and the images in the manual show this configuration but we could not get it to work.

I just checked the 600D manual and it says:

"With [EasyWireless], even if you disable the built-in flash from firing, it will still fire to control the slave unit. Depending on shooting conditions, the flash fired to control the slave unit may appear in the picture. Firing a test flash is not possible with the slave unit."

I wish it would give some tips on avoiding the built-in flash from coming out in your shots; I've done a few tests myself with the 430EXII and only see the external flash on my shots (maybe they mean "avoid mirrors"?)
