Best camera for my needs- leaning towards 4/3
5 months ago

Thanks so much for helping me make my decision easier!

So any suggestions on cameras/specific lens?  If not recommending a 4/3 then I'd want to stay with Nikon (since I have lenses).  Oh, I also have old manual lenses that I'd love to reuse again if any camera works well with old lenses please state that as well

I will be mostly photographing: Low light, pet, macro and landscapes.

My current camera is a Nikon D80.  I am really leaning towards mirror-less cameras, as I know someone who swears by The OM-D's.  But as there are very few places that have cameras on display/in stock near me, let alone knowledgeable folks, so its really hard to get an idea of what my next camera will be.

Price.  I am wanting to spend around 1K (US) for a body and decent lenses.

Weight.  The biggest issue I have is being able to hold the camera.  I have health issues which weight is an issue as well as tremors in my hands on occasion.  So a light, well balanced camera is key.  I also have petite hands so smaller is ok for my needs.

So I've been having a hard time trying to figure out what my next camera will be.  Some criteria:
