Stuck pixels on D810 sensor
Jul 29, 2014

Much to my dismay, my week-old D810 developed a couple of bright green stuck pixels. They were not present when I first got the camera, but started appearing after about 100 shots. Counterintuitively, they aren't visible on longer exposure where one would think sensor heat might become a contributing factor. I've seen them happen anywhere from 1/60 to 1/1600, but not on 15' and 25' exposures.

The problem is their color and brightness; with the right combination background and subject they can be rather distracting without having to pixel peep.

I wish there were some sort of function to map these out; I'm loath of sending the camera in for service this new.

I'll post some samples shortly.
