I have been reading a lot about these lenses.

One of my sources is slrgear, where the all the 4 standard zooms have been tested, e.g.

The 2,8/12-25 seems to have soft corners at distances  from 15m to infinity, which should make it less suited for landscapes. See here:

Always keep in mind, that all reviews using test charts (LensTip, SLRgear, Photozone) test the lenses at relatively short distances. And I suspect, lenses are constructed to yield the best results with test charts. So these results can not necessarily be used for distances near infinity.

My experiences: I have been very pleased with the results of the 14-45 until I got the 1,7/20. So I hardly ever used the zoom any more for more than a year. This spring I tried the Sigma dp1 and did some very unscientific comparison of my lenses. I found out, that the 14-45 is as good as the 20mm, after all. Quite happy with this result I was very happy with the convenience of the zoom and used the 14-45 for most of the 2500 pictures I took in my spring holidays. The results were disappointing and I banned the zoom lens again. The 1,7/20 is visibly sharper for landscapes.
