Panasonic G6 handling issues

Hi there, new MFT user here... I have just dumped all my Nikon stuff to get rid of the weight and bulk (D800).

The MFT lens lineup appealed most to me, especially the Panasonic Leicas.

I decided on the G6 body because it´s so compact with evf.

A few things that get in the way of my shooting though:

1) I am constantly pushing the rear buttons accidentally. Set the camera up, take a picture, carry the camera in hand for a minute, raise it up to find WB is off and the Display is randomly obstructed.

I know all the higher end Canons have a switch to lock the rear dial. Is there any way to lock the dial on the G6 by menu? Ideas?

2) The handgrip is very close to the lens barrel (Nocticron). I am "cutting" my fingers in there and I have pretty average sized hands. Will I gain a little more space when stepping up to the GH3?

Thanks for suggestions
