The German review site www.chip.de reviiewed both the FZ150 and the V-Lux 3. In their extensive data spread sheet they rank the FZ150 one step higher. The differences in measured parameters are mostly insignificant; but a few show bigger differences than I'd expect from sample to sample variations. The biggy was Delta E (color accuracy, lower is better) and the FZ150 was 7.3, which is very good, and the V-Lux 3 was 15.5 which is awful. If that's "Leica Color", I'll pass. The V-Lux 3 also had lower resolution and a smaller Dynamic Range. Not the uber-kamera that the price and red dot suggest.

I have the strong intuition that the most true colours are not the most aesthetically pleasing. I'm thinking I won't name any particular cameras here, but some JPEG output makes everything look like candy, and yet these images go on to win prizes, in some cases disproportionately so.
