Notice to Nikon
Six months after the Tamron becomes available, posters will be complaining about softness at 500-600, poor "copies," build quality and on and on. Happens all the time. Nikon does not manufacture a lens of this type because (1) image quality will not meet pro standards, (2) excessive manufacturing costs, and (3) no market at the price they would have to charge. This scenario occurs again and again. My recommendation: Buy a manual focus 300-800 range Bower MF lens with T-mount for $300, have fun with it, and save $1,500.
I guess PSCL1 has not been looking at the images from the Tamron 150-600mm.
