FZ1000's 1" sensor vs. FF sensors - comparative performance ?
Jul 21, 2014

Browsing thru some test-videos of FZ1000 on Youtube & wondering :
1) how'll it's 1" sensor perform viz-e-viz FF sensors e.g. Canon 5D Mk III ? Will FZ1000 videos be bright enough to be projected onto a 52" screen n yet be watchable ?
2) How'll be the low-light performance of this 1" sensor viz-e-viz a very good low-light performer 5D Mk III ? Some videos of FZ1000 show grain starting at ISO 800 but is tolerable till it reaches ISO 1600 - how can this be tackled ?
3) what is equivalent focal length and how is it calculated (I hear 25-400 mm zoom of FZ1000 is actually equivalent to 9.1-146 mm zoom FF ! Confusing . What does this mean ?) . To my horror i just read aperture also can be 'equivalent' i.e. the 2.8 - 4 stops of FZ1000 is actually equivalent to something like 7.8 - 10.9 or so ! Hey , will it be able to give any good DOF & Bokeh ?

Looking forward to replies/comments , particularly from those who hv used FZ1000 by now . I think Amazon Japan has already shipped in FZ1000 yesterday & Jap guys hv gotten lucky . Saw a few 4k videos uploaded on Youtube yesterday from Japan .
