I had to fine tune a lens

After a large shoot with the 24-70 f2.8 I  found that I had a lower take of 'tack' sharp images wide  open, as compared to my 70-200, 105vr, and 60 macro . So I tried the fine focus adjustments. After setting up a target I was able to adjust the lens very well. It is easier than I thought. After a weekend of test shooting I am thrilled with the new setting. The 24-70 is now spot on.  I'm now testing some other lenses, and most are just fine with no correction.

PS: I used a lens testing poster that I used to use for film work to see which lenses performed best. It had lots of fine details and shooting at an angle I was able to clearly see where focus began and ended. All first tests were done wide open and on a sturdy tripod. I later confirmed all lenses at f5.6 and f8. At first I manually focused and once I was satisfied I then used AF....It was very satisfying to perform this exercise.
