Agree with this. By the end of the time I owned my D800E I was perfectly well able to get decent hand held photos. What the D800E was revealing of more than other cameras was issues with the operator (and I include myself in that).

I believe the lower vibration mirror/shutter of the D810 to be less unforgiving of poor technique. However, to prove that proposition it will require someone to run the kind of tests you described earlier.
