X3F Tools and Quattro - status report
Jul 20, 2014

I just managed to read the RAW image from a Quattro file, all three layers.

The output is all wrong as the two lower layers are just written in the upper part of the image.

I am not really sure how to output the result. There is really no standard format where the layers may have different resolution.

Duplicate each value in the lower layer 4 times is what I can think of right now.

I got encouraged by LibRaw that also have made a hack reading the file.

But, knowing now that the two lower layers really were at half size I cracked it myself.

There still is some extra info that I have no clue what it is.

My tool also can write new files from extracted data. This is rather difficult. And maybe I have to give it up. It seems like Quattro has a whole load of unknown data. We will see.
