SL1/100d or Sony A6000
Jul 20, 2014

I posted this in the Nex forum however it is probably more appropriate here.

I have recently purchased a Sony A6000, Kit pancake 16-50mm OSS, with a Minolta MD f1.7. I seem to be getting on with it and enjoying big features in such a small body. The only thing that niggles me is the amount of 'fast' lenses available max being f4 for a zoom.

My friend has a load of L lenses available for his Canon kit and said that they are free for me to use however I am not impressed with the speed of auto focus on the metabones adapter so have not bothered.

I need a compact body however I have been toying with selling the A6000 and buying the small Canon 100d with the 40mm pancake for travelling and getting some L lens glass (once tested from friend) for more serious photos.

Would you do or stay down the Sony route.

If I did this what would you suggest I buy? I shoot walkabout but also like to get some portraits and wildlife/nature.

Some lenses I think most people want? They would also allow growth to FF.
