Here are a few shots I took today, trying to get used to how the D810 functions. The AF is definitely snappier and locks on much quicker.

All RAW, converted in ACR and then finalised in Photoshop CS6 and used Noiseware on the high ISO images.

Photos taken in Sydney's Royal National Park, second oldest national park in the world after Yellowstone. All birds are wild.

D810 + 500 f4 VR, ISO12,800, f5.6, 1/1000sec, handheld cropped about 40%.

This is an Australian Eastern Yellow Robin and is about 4" long from head to tip of tail, shot under cloudy grey skies and dense forest - quite dark in there!

D810 + 500 f4 VR, ISO6,400, f5.6, 1/200sec, handheld cropped about 15%.

D810 + 300 f2.8 VRII, ISO160, f4, 1/625sec, handheld cropped about 15%.

Australian Little Corella.

D810 + 300 f2.8 VRII, ISO140, f4, 1/625sec, handheld cropped from 3:2 to 4:3

Australian Sulphur Crested Cockatoo

Crop of above photo:

D810 + 300 f2.8 VRII, ISO720, f5.6, 1/1667sec, handheld.

Crop of above photo

D810 + 300 f2.8 VRII, ISO4500, f5.6, 1/2500sec, handheld. Cropped about 25%

D810 + 300 f2.8 VRII, ISO100, f4, 1/1250sec, handheld. Cropped about 35%
