and will go back to my DP2 Merrill.

Today I had the chance to shoot some landscapes with the DP2 Q, which I had also shot with the DP2 Merrill a month ago.

Ignore colour differences - I also had to save the DP2 Q as a Quality 11 JPG to allow the upload to DPR.

The reason why I will go back to the DP2 Merrill is simple: have a look at the distand hills and slopes in both pictures and the detail (or lack of detail) you see.

The JPGs can also be downloaded from my gallery.

Frankly, I don't know what to make of this: is this a firmware / SPP issue (I have processed the DP2 Q RAW with luma and chroma noise reduction set to minimum, by the way, and then applied a more than generous USM to boot - all to no avail), or is this a limitation of the new Quattro sensor architecture?

I hope some informed, professional reviews might shed some light on this.
