RX100 III VS a6000 Question
Jul 14, 2014

I have the RX100 III and while I do like it, I am thinking about selling it (or exchanging it) and buying the a6000.

I can a only afford one expensive camera and I think I would prefer the a6000 and the option to add more lenses in the future. I also don't find the rx100 3 to be pocketable anyway.

If size is not an issue and you could only afford one or the other, which one would you prefer. I would be using the kit lens for awhile and then adding the 501.8 and the 55-210 later.

Besides the softness in the corners, would I be losing major image quality with the kit lens of the a6000 vs the RX100 3? What about in low light? Does the bigger sensor compensate for the 1.8 lens of RX100 3?

What about depth if field? Would they be about the same?

Finally, video quality. Everyone talks about the great video on the M3...How is the video of the a6000?
