Agree with those who recommended the Sony A6000. I shoot mainly wildlife. I upgraded from the Canon SX-40 to the Olympus OMD-E5 with 75-300 mm lens (150-600mm equiv) which is rich in features and very good in low light, but then bought the less expensive Sony A6000 with kit lens and 55-210 lens (77-315 equiv). It's focus and tracking ability is excellent, and I get very good bird photos in low light with just the 310mm equiv lens. The main drawback is that there is no E-mount long telephoto lens available yet.  I am selling my SX-40 and will be selling my Olympus OMD-E5.

Based on your needs I read that the Nikon One might be worth considering, too.
