Standardizing print ratios and sizes for m4/3rds images.

A search didn't turn up anything, but perhaps others are asking the same question.

I would like to standardize the sizes of my prints as I get into printing photos. The native ratio of my m4/3rd cameras seems to be 4:3, giving prints 12 by 16, 18 by 24 etc.

The native ratio for 35mm from what I understand was 3:2, and may still be for full frame.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of each ratio in general, and for users of m4/3rds gear in particular? Related to this, what print sizes work particular well for m4/3rds cameras?
